It seems that the unemployment rate has taken a toll on the American people. America may think that because there are no jobs, there will be no food. To remedy this situation, Americans many believe that the government owes them something, in this case food. They feel that the government should either create new jobs for them to work at or for the government to supply the people and their families with the sufficient necessities of life needed for survival. Americans may think this entitlement because they feel that for no absolute reason, they are entitled things from the government from the slightest work that was done. Public opinion nowadays toward those who are not able to afford food due to unemployment and reap the benefits from tax payer money for irresponsible people to not work sways to condescending and bitterness.
2. http://www.gallup.com/poll/150722/Jobs-Economy-Remain-Dominant-Concerns-Americans.aspx
As the majority of Americans are eager and most likely to cite the state economy as the most important issue that has plagued America, it indicates that the economy has really hit home to Americans. The effects are felt by Americans around the globe as prices of things ranging from gasoline to taxes spike up high and employment rates rise with it. Americans may feel that now the reality of the economic standing of the nation has set in and that action must be taken, mostly due to the person effects that have taken a toll on the American way of life. Opinion will change depending on how much the economy is improved or worsened by the actions that will or will not be taken to remedy the situation.

Each year once a year, Americans splurge and overeat on Thanksgiving. Traditions emerge year after year, and change occurs minimally. As times proceed, new recipes spring up to accommodate various diets, such as vegetarians, yet why should one diet on Thanksgiving? Americans seem to be immersed in the idea of being thin and not over eating, despite that one day of splurging most likely will not kill a person. Americans must think in this perspective due to the widespread media and Hollywood stars who have deemed "thin to be in" and strive for it. Public opinion seems to be split down the middle: some are very outspoken on the topic of carrying a diet all year round to remain in shape, while others who hold traditions with the holiday of Thanksgiving may throw caution to the wind so to speak and be gluttonous for a few days out of the year. Due to this mostly even split, it is difficult to determine whether or not change of opinion will occur. I do not think that the American public is fickle on this subject. I feel that people have set ideals and expectations for Thanksgiving and nothing much changes too drastically.
4. http://zogby.com/news/2011/11/02/ibope-zogby-poll-54-voters-support-student-loan-changes-are-split-increased-government-involvement/
Gathered from this data of this poll, 54% support student loan changes to allow for the loans to be in lower payments to pay the loan back. This percent is only slightly more than half, making the American mindset in a stalemate. Some, not the majority, believe that student loans should remain how they are presently, whereas the other half thinks that more government involvement should be acting in the student loan issue. This may mean that the American mindset it not so much on the future of education, but rather on the entire state of the economy. Public opinion may change due to the Occupy Movements taking over cities widespread across the nation, due to the fact that student loans is a hot topic of the Occupy Movements. I do not believe that American's are fickle on this topic. Only the top small percentage of the world will not have the burden of student loans to pay back and it is a widespread payment made by the majority of Americans who attend colleges.
5. http://www.gallup.com/poll/150659/Republicans-Believe-Romney-Likely-Win-Nomination.aspx
Through this data, it is concluded that Mitt Romney will win the Republican nomination for president for the 2012 Presidential Election. With the much negative press coverage of the other candidates, Cain and Perry, Romney may have come to popularity. Despite these popularity slumps, many supporters of the other candidates support their own stating that they are sure that their party candidate will win the nomination for the Presidential Election. This mindset may just be the American way of thinking that whatever a person concludes or believes is the best and that no other opinion may matter because it is wrong as it is not the same as his own. Public opinion is not likely to change because of the stubbornness of many Americans and they are not fickle on the subject at hand.

I saw this poll when I began research on my five topics. I agree that American are not fickel on this topic because students loans are outrageous. I already know I will graduate from college in a load of debt.

I agree with your poll about Mitt Romney's success over the Repulican candidates. Because of all the negative media against the other candidates, like Perry and Cain, I think the poll is accurate in stating that overall, Romney has the popular vote.

For the Thanksgiving poll: there is nothing wrong with eating right, being healthy, and exercising year round - that is what you're SUPPOSED to do to stay in shape. However, Thanksgiving is about family, reminiscing, and cherishing time spent together, and staring at the pumpkin pie will do nothing but make you miserable. A little indulgence is good every once in awhile but not every day.
