Romney Joins Perry and Gingrich as Leaders in Total Favorable Ratings

 http://www.gallup.com/poll/150758/Cain-Fall-Gingrich-Rise-Result-Tie-High-Intensity-Score.aspx

It seems Americans are being to realize the "truly" informed candidates among the Republicans. The Americans are thinking that Romney is a candidate that knows what he is talking about. When Perry had his "flub" in the debate his favorable ratings dropped, however he is still in the top three. I will admit that I have never heard of Gingrich and cannot offer an idea about the American opinion of him. I believe that public opinion will change because Americans are fickle. They want everything their way, but life is not McDonald's. If Perry keeps slipping up and Cain does not "shine a lantern on his problems", the race for the Republican presidential candidacy will be between Romney and Gingrich.

IBOPE Zogby Poll: Obama Approval (41%) and Re-Elect (37%) Drop Slightly

http://zogby.com/news/2011/10/26/ibope-zogby-poll-obama-approval-41-and-re-elect-37-drop-slightly/

Americans are tired of the Obama administration not getting anything done. I understand that it is not his fault that his bills will not be passed. However, Americans hold the president responsible for the problems facing the nation. Americans are tired of high unemployment and a failing economy. This is not all together Obama's fault, but the somewhat the government's fault altogether. Obama's approval and reelection rate have dropped by 2% over the past week. However, it does remain stagnant. His approval and reelection rate will probably continue to decrease of he does have miracle. He needs to have an FDR Great Depression moment where he saves the economy. If this does not happen than his rating will drop. The drop in his approval rating was probably caused, as I mentioned earlier, by the lack of improvements under his administration. The American nation is fickle because it is not just Obama's fault that nothing is being done. The whole government needs to be held responsible, besides the Supreme Court, because they are being stubborn and refusing to compromise. Again, American cannot have their cake and eat it too. They need to realize that many people are involved in the government and being stubborn.

IBOPE Zogby Poll: Faith in American Dream Sinking As U.S. Adults Become Split Over Whether or Not They Can Achieve it

http://zogby.com/news/2011/07/20/ibope-zogby-poll-faith-american-dream-sinking-us-adults-become-split-over-whether-or-not-they-can-ac/

The American Dream is sinking because the current state of the American economy. It is impossible to find a job let alone maintain. Americans cannot catch a break in the current economy, which leads me into the belief that the American Dream is sinking. If Americans cannot support themselves, how can they achieve their American Dream. It is interesting to see the split between conservative and liberal and their view on the American Dream. Conservative, who are more religious, are more likely to believe in the American Dream. Whereas, liberal, who are less religious, are less likely to believe in the American Dream. The idea of achieving the American Dream is associated with one's religious beliefs because the American Dream is more about achieving happiness than material goods. Religion plays a big part in believing happiness is the American Dream. The public opinion on the achievement of the American Dream has dropped 2/3 since the 2008 election. I believe that the public opinion on the achievement of the American Dream will continue to decrease. The American public is fickle on this idea. It seems that even the religious conservatives tie some materialistic ideals to their American Dream. If they did't then the percentage probably would not have dropped. We just need to realize that Americans want it their in every situation. Like I said earlier life is not McDonald's, it is a box chocolate you never know what you're gonna get. You might bite into the nasty maple nugget chocolate. You cannot change, unless you are Doc Brown, so deal with it. Life is not perfect there are always obstacles to face.

U.S. Cold and Flu Season Kicks Off in Typical Fashion

http://www.gallup.com/poll/150770/Cold-Flu-Season-Kicks-Off-Typical-Fashion.aspx

Americans are likely to receive the flu shot because their afraid of getting sick. This is in part of the H1N1 "epidemic". Americans have a habit of confusing the symptoms of the common cold with the flu. We are a nation of paranoid, overly health conscious humans. This is why Americans believe that the flu shot is important. The public opinion of the flu shot will not change because my generation is just as overly conscious as their predecessors. The average American report on experiencing the common cold or the flu are nearly identical as previous years. In this case, Americans are not fickle. I am not really sure because Americans continue to receive flu shots. I believe that my generation thinks a paper cut could turn into gangrene disease. If someone has the sniffle they take them to the doctor. The American nation is not fickle because they follow the same belief of being overly health conscious.

IBOPE Zogby Poll: Cain Trounces Romney in Head-to-Head Matchup

http://zogby.com/news/2011/10/25/ibope-zogby-poll-cain-trounces-romney-head-head-matchup/

This was before the whole Cain sexual harassment scandal. This can relate back to the fish bowl about pluralism and Superman politicians. Cain trumped Romney in a hypothetical election because American can relate more to Herman Cain. He technically is apart of the 1%, but he is not apart of Washington. American felt that Cain should win because they can relate more to him. He is the common man in the sense that he has not ties to Washington. Public opinion on this issue has definitely changed, no doubt about that. When the sexual harassment charges came out agains Cain his popularity rating has dropped. Actually, Romney's approval rating has now surpassed Cain's rating. The American public is not fickle on this issue because sexual harassment is a serious. There is not hard evidence that can prove Cain is guilty, but just the idea of him possible being involved does not sit well with the American public. I believe that this is not being fickle rather it is being cautious. We do not want president with that could possible be implicated in sexual harassment crime.

I think that the poll about the American Dream not being reachable is very interesting. I guess I've always doubted the American Dream because only a minority of people in America truly live the American Dream.

I completely agree with you, especially about the flu poll. Americans are overly concerned with any little health thing, like a silly paper cut.

I find it hard to believe that Americans would support Cain over Romney.

I enjoyed the poll about the American Dream. I find it a little sad that so many people are losing faith in the American Dream, after all it represents what America is- opportunity. If adults don't believe they can acheive it, they will stop trying, and that goes against our character.

I also think American are being too cautions about their health.
